I am now running ColdFusion 9

Word Count: 155

I am so happy to announce that I am now running ColdFusion 9 . I have been in the process of not only upgrading but moving my vps over to KickAss VPS. First off I have only been on them 1 day but this VPS is a big upgrade from my last. They are very inexpensive, reliable and they actually respond to emails! I am going to try and drive a point home here. I don't know if there are actual numbers out there yet to back this up but ColdFusion 9 is fast. So fast that I would have to say no other cfml engine can even come close to it. If nobody else has some hard cold facts I may try and setup a test environment where I can prove this. If you have not upgraded yet it's about time you do!

We've got CF9 over at www.gowesthosting.com , and I agree the speed for certain existing applications, moved from a similar shared server running CF8, is noticeably faster. I didn't do any exact tests, but everything obviously reacts, inserts and renders with just a little more zip.

I have a 'entry vps bundle' with them running Railo. Pretty happy so far. What package did you get? I did not see that they were offering CF9.

I'm in the same situation as Frank. Curious if you have more info on the CF9 offering at KickAss.

Just a word or warning - I have two friends who hosted with KA and left. Things were great to begin with but soon deteriorated with little/no response to requests.
